Quick answer

The Sinking City 2 Major Update 1.1.0 went live on October 6, 2026 for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Frogwares frames it as the first major post-launch update. The headline changes are PC HDR support with HDR10+, AMD FSR 4.1.1 as a new upscaling option, two new outfits for Calvin, a rebalanced combat pass, and the return of the Steam demo with saves that carry over to the full game.

What 1.1.0 adds on PC

  • HDR output, with HDR10+ support, an in-game HDR brightness calibration screen, and multi-monitor HDR. HDR follows your Windows HDR setting and is not forced on when the system has it disabled.
  • AMD FSR 4.1.1 added to the video settings as a new upscaling choice.
  • A Legacy mode for NVIDIA DLSS, plus a fix for a visual glitch that appeared when DLSS was switched off during play at 4K and 1440p.

What changes in play

  • Inventory and weapon upgrades now carry over into Ex Oblivione. If you pick up an upgrade you already own, you receive Dream Essence instead.
  • Pure New Game starts a completely fresh playthrough after you have finished the game.
  • Two new outfits for Calvin: The Warlock and The King in Yellow, each with wardrobe preview images.
  • Encounters retuned in “The Wake-Up Call”, “A Sight for Sore Eyes”, “Time and Tide” and “Cold Comfort”. Enemy counts and wave composition were reduced in the fights players reported as overwhelming.
  • Explosives read more clearly and hit harder: increased Grenade Launcher damage, more damage from explosive gas cans, and explosive lamps are now red so they register as hazards at a glance.
  • Slither weak points become vulnerable sooner, and companion commentary triggers less often during boss fights.

The demo is back

The Steam demo returned with Update 1.1.0, and demo saves carry over into the full game. If you skipped the demo before, the rebalanced encounters are the version you will now play.

How to check your version

  1. Finish the update in your storefront and restart the game once.
  2. Look at the build number on the title screen or launcher.
  3. On PC, open the video settings and confirm whether HDR and the new FSR option are present; that alone shows 1.1.0 is installed.
