The Sinking City 2 Demo

What the Demo was

Frogwares previously released a playable Steam Demo that offered roughly one hour of The Sinking City 2. It was a preview build, not a promise that the same Demo would remain downloadable after the full game launched.

The full game released on August 18, 2026. That changes the search intent: players now want to know whether the old Demo is still available, whether it has been replaced by the full product, and where to report a broken or outdated build.

How to check current availability

1. Open the Steam product page.
2. Look for a separate Demo entry or a current play/download button.
3. Check the page’s announcements and date rather than trusting an old video description.
4. If the Demo link is missing or fails to launch, use Frogwares Support and include your platform, operating system, and the exact error.

Demo versus full release

The Demo should not be used to infer the final game’s complete performance, content length, or system requirements. Preview builds can have different assets, saves, bugs, and balance. For purchase decisions, use the live store listing and the full-release reviews.

What the Demo can and cannot answer

Use the Demo to test controls, atmosphere and whether the investigation/combat loop suits you. Do not use a preview build to promise the final game’s performance, full content length, save compatibility or current availability after launch. The live Steam page remains the authority.

FAQ

Is the Demo still downloadable?

That is a live storefront question. Check the current Steam product page rather than an old video description.

Is the Demo the full game?

No. It was a limited preview build released before the August 18, 2026 launch.

Where should I report a broken Demo link?

Use Frogwares Support and include the platform, operating system and exact error.
